Ryan was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado.  He wrestled at Grandview from 2000 – 2004 and during that time he was a 4 time State Qualifier, 3 time State Placer and High School All-American.  Ryan wrestled Division I in the PAC 10 where he was a 3-year starter and varsity letter winner for the Cal State Fullerton Titans.　

This is his 5th year as a head coach at Grandview.  Ryan is very passionate about the sport of wrestling and the life lessons that it can teach to young athletes.  In his 4 years as head coach, Ryan has led the wolves to 2 top 10 state place finishes and 4 straight Centennial League Championships while compiling an overall dual record of 74-7.
