At the prestigious Top of the Rockies tournament at Centaurus High School — which many consider tougher than the state tournament — Grandview finished 15th among a group of teams from Colorado and a handful of surrounding states.

The Wolves were paced by seniors Eric Wilson and Penn Wade, who finished third at 119 and 215 pounds, respectively, while senior heavyweight Jake Chatham took fifth in Saturday action in Lafayette.

Wilson, a 2007 state champion, recverovcaptured td for the second year in a row at the tournament with a 3-1 win over C.J. York of Roosevelt. Wade had one of his best tournament showings by earning a 5-2  decision over Fort Morgan's Hunter Maxwell in the third-place match.
